  • President Obama proclaimed October National Information Literacy Month. This month highlights the need for all Americans to be adept in the skills necessary to effectively navigate the Information Age. Students, parents and educators are all invited to share their viewpoints about the use of technology in education by participating in Project Tomorrow's Speak Up Survey. This is a national online survey that is shared with both national and state policy makers. Your opinion will help to shape future policies. Hollywood HS is registered to participate. After entering the survey search for our school and when asked for the secret word (password), enter "hhsurvey."
  • Listen Ms. Whitham's KROQ LA Openline Radio Interview with Scott Mason regarding the importance of school libraries.
  • Get in the fall spirit by attending the 12th annual "Dia De Los Muertos" festival at the Hollywood Forever Cemetary on August 22 from 12 p.m. - 12 a.m.. Don't miss out on the elaborate memoral alters, enterainers and food.
  • Make this year your best yet by taking pride in your work and turning your assignments in on time. Reading the Top 10 Skills for High School Students is a good place to start. The LAPL also offers a Student Smart Program that provides free college test prep courses and college related seminars. Remember to stop by the UNI library for help with the research process or for reading recommendations. JUST ASK!
